Section 33 salaried employees: Starting from January 1, 2026, the Social Security Office will increase the wage ceiling used for calculating contributions for the first time after using the maximum base of 15,000 baht for more than 30 years. This adjustment aims to better align with economic conditions and to enhance benefits for insured persons, as follows:

 

Phase 1 (2026–2028):
The maximum wage base will be increased to 17,500 baht, resulting in a maximum monthly contribution of 875 baht.

Phase 2 (2029–2031):
The maximum wage base will be increased to 20,000 baht, resulting in a maximum monthly contribution of 1,000 baht.

Phase 3 (from 2032 onward):
The maximum wage base will be increased to 23,000 baht, resulting in a maximum monthly contribution of 1,150 baht.

 

As a result of the Phase 1 adjustment to the wage ceiling (2026–2028), insured persons will receive enhanced benefits in several areas, as follows:

 

  • Sickness benefits: Maximum of 7,500 baht per month, increased to 8,750 baht per month

  • Disability benefits: Maximum of 7,500 baht per month, increased to 8,750 baht per month

  • Unemployment benefits: Maximum of 7,500 baht per month, increased to 8,750 baht per month

  • Maternity benefits: 22,500 baht per case, increased to 26,250 baht per case

  • Death benefits: 90,000 baht, increased to 105,000 baht

  • Old-age pension (15 years of contributions): Maximum of 3,000 baht per month, increased to 3,500 baht per month

  • Old-age pension (25 years of contributions): Maximum of 5,250 baht per month, increased to 6,125 baht per month
