Minimum wage?

Minimum wage" is the lowest amount of compensation that employers are required to pay to employees as mandated by law. Employers are prohibited from paying wages less than the minimum wage rate, regardless of education level, gender, job type, nationality, or whether the employee is in a probationary period. Even if the employee works fewer hours in a day, they must be paid for 8 hours, and the wage cannot be reduced,

The Cabinet has considered adjusting the minimum wage rates, which will be effective from January 1, 2567 onwards. The new minimum wage rates for the year 2567 will be divided into 17 rates, ranging from 330 to 370 baht, with increases of 2 to 16 baht per province. This will help ensure that the consideration for adjusting the minimum wage reflects the most accurate reality. Once the subcommittee has concluded its discussions and reached a consensus, all the data will be presented at the large Tripartite Committee meeting within March 2567 before announcing the new round of minimum wage rates. This announcement is expected to be made as a gift during the Songkran Festival 2567.
